The past couple days — the sight seeing, the adventures — have been so incredible. However, I'm going to have to retract my mind a tad bit to recall all the chaos [& lack thereof] that got me to this magical land. Traveling without parents requires quite a deal more responsibility and attentiveness, let me tell ya. And if I can say one thing to all you future solo travelers: GIVE YOURSELF TIME. Time time time, people! All of my flights going to Shannon, Ireland went smoothly, but once I met some of the other girls and went through customs in London, we didn't watch the clock & quickly found out that our next hopper flight to Ireland was closing! Now see, that's when survival mode kicked in, because holy moly did I book it. Running through a ridiculously large airport, sweating, and completely ditching the other girls didn't really phase me because all I knew is that there was no way I was missing that flight — & we didn't! We made it. I got my work out in for the day & arrived in Shannon on schedule. Score.
Oh yeah, & I don't know if any of you know my parents — they're fantastic — but they're a littlee gung ho on not checking luggage & carrying on everything. So you can only imagine the horror stories I've heard and the joy I felt when I saw Lil' Red coming down the conveyer belt. Ahh :)
